If you do the online estimator you can just enter your partners income and it will tell you how much you will get if anything.. Otherwise, I'm not sure..
I have looked at the website but can't seem to find what the cut off for my partners income is for me to be eligible for Austudy. The website just talks about how much I can earn before it reduces or stops.
Anyone...

this one expired a few days ago, but it's the most recent "guide to payments" online
it says about personal income for Austudy in Chart D
further down, in the notes under the chart, it states:Partnered with dependents, students and Australian Apprentices
full payment for income up to $236
part payment for income between $236 and $939.17
given the "cut-off" point is $939.17 and ASSUMING max rate entitlement of $413.90 per fnPartner income which exceeds the cut-off point reduces fortnightly allowance by 60c in the dollar
your partner can earn 939.17 + (413.9/0.6)
= 939.17 + 689.83= 1629
keep in mind that it's late night and i'm feeling groggy, so i might be a bit off with my interpretation (i work in families, not students!), but that should help
ETA - PLEASE run the estimator and check your circumstances - i may be a bit off with my numbers!
this also assumes there has been no reduction due to asset value as well
