Biting off more than I can chew??

Ok so have just had ds4 and have being thinking about a career change for some time now. I want to be a primary school teacher and if I study part it will take around 8 years to complete. I plan to complete a cert III in the next two years so I can at least start working in the industry. My question is how do you do it? Keep motivated and raise a family?? I don't want to start something I can finish!!

Also does anyone know if I can change to full time further down the track??

My sister is doing bachelor of primary education through Curtin university- online.
I believe you can study at your own pace per study period, but you have 10 years to get through the degree.
As I understand it, you can pick subjects for your study period- pick only one subject, if you're not coping.
Alternatively you can skip a study period- if you have a lot on at home.
The only requirement is that you finish in 10 years.
    Seems fairly flexible.

No advice, but good luck. it is always daunting starting something new! What Emma said sounds pretty good, at least you can study at your own pace.

Motivation can be a problem. I work full time and have 2 kids. I am really struggling to complete my second Diploma. Finished the first one with no problems. I only have one unit to finish and it is taking forever. I miss just having time to relax.

And yes, you can change from part-time to full-time during uni studies, you need to talk to Student Services.
