    Something just doesn't feel right

Bear with me while I find words to describe this.

Earlier this morning I got really dizzy - room spinning dizzy. But the thing is I was sitting down at the time. Since then I've been slightly dizzy (that light-headed, heavy limbs kind of dizzy) on and off. And every now and then I feel like crying. I'm also really aware of my heartbeat/pulse. It doesn't seem to be quicker than normal (not that I can focus long enough to time it) just harder, if that makes sense.

Right now I feel sluggish and heavy and typing feels like an effort. I have been getting lots of kicks the last hour so I know bubs is okay. I just don't like feelling like this.

Actually, the last time I remember feeling like this was when I first started taking ADs.

I have had that, pretty much how you have described too. I think the dizziness has something to do with blood pressure.

The best advice I can offer is to go and get checked out. You are obviously concerned and your gut feeling is that something is not quite right so best pack yourself up and head to your hossy and get checked by the MW's.

Better to be told its nothing than to not act and it be something that might have been preventable x

    good luck hun x x

I agree go get checked out, could be nothing but could be something that can easily be prevented. Hope all is well

Sounds like anxiety or just low blood pressure.

I had low bp with dd and felt like that A LOT. if you are worried call your dr.

I've also had panic attacks and when I had my first one it felt the same as you described till finally I convinced myself something was very wrong and I was going to pass out.

Try focussing on breathing. Thinking about your belly going up and down with each breathe, surfing a wave as you breathe out. Lay down and close your eyes for a minute, I find it helps a lot.

Even to sit down and get my mind to do what I want it to I name 5 things I can hear, 5 things I can smell and 5 things I can feel........ Sounds strange but it makes your mind focus on something else. And trains you to take control

If it doesn't eat something salty, if it is lbp this will rise it.

Hope u feel better v soon

I'd go and get checked by your GP just for your own peace of mind.

I knew you'd all tell me to get checked out. I know I should. Except DH is about to leave from work and I don't think I should drive. Will try and page my mw at least.

Agree with the other girls. Please have it looked at. Could be possible bp issues or also low blood sugar/dehydration. Try eating a handfulof jellybeans/teaspoon honey or sugar and have a glass of water. I get it when my blood sugar is extremely low.Sit down with your head between your knees. Hope all is well Please let us know how you go.

Call a friend to drive you. It may be nothing much. It may be something serious. Pregnancy can take a toll on the body including putting pressure on the heart. Please see a doctor.

That feeling is the feeling I get when my BP is about to shoot through the roof. I know that first fortnight of A/Ds too and that's the perfect descriptor. Especially the heaviness.

Surprisingly I managed to get in to see a GP within 30 minutes of calling. Work can get by without DH until 1:30 so he called them to say he'd be late. BP is normal, I'm taking elevit so my iron levels should be fine, and I had to give a urine sample to rule out UTI. Will get the results Monday.

I do feel better just for getting checked though. Plan today is to take it easy, drink lots and eat regularly. Hopefully DD won't mind a quiet day at home.

    Thanks ladies

Good girl, glad you got it checked.
Maybe it's bubs way of telling you you need a rest?

I'm glad to hear you got in and got checked out

I was taking elevit too and my iron was still waaaaay low. I dont know if it would show up in a wee test, but it definately will in a BT.. if you dont feel better after some rest, I would look into that xo

Sound awful, hope you feel better now.. Obviously your BP was ok? I agree with Starbright, get iron checked if you don't feel better soon.

Glad you're feeling better TC! I just stumbled on this thread. I have felt that way twice. When my blood pressure was low with DS3, and when I have suffered with anxiety. Like the others have said the Elevit doesn't guarantee your iron levels are ok, and what's 'normal' for one isn't normal for another either. If your iron is low Floradix is great! It's a liquid which is much better absorbed and utilised by your body, and has all the other goodies to help with absorption.

Glad DH could stay the extra bit Let us know how you go with the results.

BTW my heart skipped a couple of beats when I read the title of the thread then saw it was you!

Sorry for the scare willow. Thinking about it now it wasn't the best title. Just shows how little I was thinking this morning.

BAL -yes my BP was fine 112/78.

I am rethinking that it may be my iron. I still haven't gotten my prenatal bloods done yet so I will make a special effort to get it done this week. Or is it 28 weeks that they check hb? I've had low iron in the past, but it didn't feel quite like this.
