    security screens

Has anyone had their whole house done? Any idea how much it would cost to do? We have a pretty standard 4 bed / 2 bath / 2 car / 2 living area + outdoor ent. style modern home. We were thinking about crim safe.

crimsafe isn't cheap - we recently had 2 double doors, a single and two windows done for about $4000. The more you get done though, the cheaper each individual item should be.

Our house has a CrimSafe door on the front. The owners before us left behind the receipt and warranty details, and it says it was done in 2008 and cost around $600. That's just for the front door, so I'm guessing it would be quite expensive to do a whole house. Sorry I'm not much more help!

We have and it cost about $5000 for Crimsafe..

We have 4 bedrooms, 1 toilet, I bathroom, 1 ensuite, 2 lounge windows, 1 garage, 2 screen doors (standard size) and 1 sliding door.

The locks on the screens are better locks than on the standard front door (in my house cause we haven't changed the lock).. And I am ok with leaving windows open for the day, and night and feel safe.

Wow that's expensive! We want to get the bedroom windows done for this summer, as the new house doesn't have AC.

Windows are heaps cheaper than doors - depending on size and how they open, I think one of ours was about $200 and the other $300 - it's the doors that cost heaps

We are getting 4 large windows done for $1000 soon (as DS1 can now climb up onto the window frame and has tried to push the flyscreen out of the 2nd story window!). We are getting stainless steel mesh which is made to the same standards as crimsafe, but isn't that brand. We got 2 quotes, with about $300 difference.

What was the brand, Bloom? Crimsafe is expensive but the equivalents are just as expensive it appears. The double sliding doors we have in the rumpus will cost 1500 each. Wow!

From a company called K and B security, I think it is their "own brand" product. Definately expensive!
