Diarrhea and when are you contagious?

so we spent saturday with some friends who yesterday came down with diarrhea, are you only contagious from when you have the runs or before?
just sussing out the chances they have shared!

you are contageous for up to 48 hours after last motion, but obviously as time goes on the chances of transmitting are dimished. it really comes down to their personal hygiene. did they wash their hands correctly ? Dishes and surfaces?

you can be contagous before the runs the start as the bug may have been in their systems, but it depends what the bug strain the bug is.

Just make sure you guys follow good hygiene practice at home meticilously and spray some air spray such as glen-20 around and wipe over all surfaces with anti-batceria sprays. also open the windows and air the house out.

you might not be able to stop being infected, but hopefully your immune systems are strong enough to fight it off, and if you can kill some of the bugs in the meantime, it will help as well!!

It depends on why they have the runs. It could be from something they ate, in which case did you eat the same thing? It could be from a contagious disease, in which case you need to know what it is to understand the incubation period. It could be from drinking lots of alcohol, in which case how much did you drink

I'm sure someone with a medical background could provide more accurate information.

its my friend and her 8 month old with the runs, the kids weren't there so just adults, im hoping they washed hands properly!!
Det she was fine saturday, got it yesterday, im worried because im working the next 4 days!
