    crying

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.

since she has been able to walk my DD has run around in the nude before bath time. She had recently started showing signs of being ready for TT, however we haven't really pushed it and to be honest in the last month haven't acknowledged it at all. Anyway, in the last few weeks a few times she has been having her usual naked time and has done a wee on the floor. Each time she has done this, she has become really upset and started crying and just stands there not knowing what to do. She used to squat and do a wee on the floor (this is one of her signs of getting close to TT and she knew what she was doing - we got the potty out but she wasnt interested and didnt push it) but she hasn't been doing this and like i said becomes really upset when she does do a wee. I have explained to her that it is ok it was just an accident...we never tell her off for doing it and i always ask her if she would like to use the toilet - gets upset by this as well...

so anyways just wondering what your thoughts are...btw she is 17 months old...

    TIA xoxo

    Hi,

Have you tried getting her to sit on the potty as soon as she starts her nudie time? With DD1 we started sitting her on the potty before a bath at about 13months old. It was just a way of introducing her to the potty in a gentle way with no pressureto have to use it.
If you can get her to sit on the potty, you could try making it fun with singing or reading a book.
It might be a little hard because of her age, you don't want to push her and have her become shy of the potty but then if she is giving you signs then there has to be a way to make it work. Sorry if I have not been to much help.
