Clomid

I have just had to cancel my first cycle of Clomid due to having too many follicles. I was pretty excited at first to see I had responded so well and then when the nurses told me I may have to cancel this cycle due to having too many and that It was possible I may have to go on the pill to stop the follicles turning into cysts I was so upset and emotional. Have you heard of this before? I certainly haven’t but then again infertility and the **** that goes with it is not something we talk about. I had three days of hoping and praying we would get the okay and over this time hubby and I were thinking of trying anyway we knew there was a chance of a multiple preg but also thought that it will never happen to us… We finally got the word from the doctors. They advised we cancel the cycle as the chance of triplets or quods was two high. We took the advice as upsetting as it was. I really want to be pregnant at Christmas time and I really do not want to have to go on the pill. To make this day even worse for me a got a call from the clinic late in the afternoon I immediately thought, Oh they have had a second look over my result’s and they are calling to say we can try tonight. No unfortunately they were calling to tell me they wanted me to take a shot of ovidrel. In the hope this will release all the follicles and save me from going on the pill. Again I was so upset to have a wasted month and I also had strong feelings of loss knowing we had a possible baby there that we had to let go. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR OF ANY SIMULER EXPERIANCES.
I should find out in about 8-9 days if those follicles are still hanging around I hope the trigger shot got rid of them so we can go back to trying

Yes, I've had cycles cancelled because of too many follies on clomid. On 50 mg I lay 3 eggs .

Your first cycle is very much a trial run to see what dosage you need. Best of luck with the next cycle. BTW - how many follies did you get?

Thanks for your responces I have never joined any sort of forum before. I had no idea if anyone would reply I'm still learning how to use the site

I'm not 100% sure how meany eggs but I think 4 of them were of good size, when I had my internal ultrasound she said 7 on the left and even more on the right but she was grumpy and I got the idea I should shut up from what the nurses said I'm pretty sure only four of them were dominant

Wow that is a HUGE response. What dose were you on? I would opt to trigger so they all ruptured - you don't want cysts ruining the party.
