    activities for 10month old....

So DD is just about to hit 10 months, on friday....

she is crawling and pulling herself up on things so not just sitting in one place now

but i need some activites for her to spice things up a bit...

she has a walker to push along and copious amounts of toys and we go to mothersw group and swimming lessons once a week...

im at a bit of a loss as to what else to introduce to her to add something new in for her...

does your local library have rhyme time or story time? We started when DD was around that age. She loves it, and i got to learn (remember) the words to the nursery rhymes too.

Hoti's idea is a great one, rhyme time is super popular here too and my fave part-free !

Other things we do and did at that age was parks with sand, dd loved to sit in the sandpit and play. If she's moving around and pulling herself up I'd try water play as it warms up. Buckets with wooden spoons and other kitchen utensils filled with water. Dd loved me blowing bubbles too

Get an old scarf, or pile of bandanas tied together and stuff them into an empty tissue box for them to pull out

Coke or water bottles filled with rice / sand / cocopops / cereal / coloured water and sealed tight for her to shake.

    Park / slides / swings

Different textures - feathers / fur / rubber / lycra etc

for a few more ideas. DD is getting on my nerves. She's so bored.
She's the same age, so more activities for 10 month old (8 1/2 corrected) would be awesome.

Mini Maestros is great!! Both my boys do a class a week (for the school Terms) and they love it. DS1 is about to start his final term

DS1 started at 8 months of age and at this stage it was all about touch, sounds, interation with parent. As they grow they start to learn a little more about music such as fast, slow, loud, soft, beats, use of different instruments. It's great for building an appreciation of music and gives little ones confidence to dance and sing and enjoy themselves. The class is structured to keep the attention of little ones.

You could seach to see if there are any in your area and if there are they usually allow you to participate in a class to see if you think it's something you and your child will enjoy.

How much have our littles ones grown into busy little people!? Hope you guys are well

Charlotte i have tried everything to get back on but i can't. I have reset my password so many times (just did it again now) and it never lets me in. I think they've locked me out because i shut down one account and started another one with a different name. None of the Help options are helpful I miss you guys heaps but i do have a whole lot more time in my day not having a fb account

    I'll keep trying

I hope you and your grumpy bubba a good though. Harper was a little grumpy today also Maybe it's an age thing??

Oh I can totally relate... My little one is 11 months old and it's so hard being stuck for ideas on what to do to entertain them, especially as a SAHM! gone are the days when they sat down happily with a rattle for ages hey! Well just wanted to say I got some great ideas from the thread and that I know what you're feeling!

Sent from my iPhone more than likely while I should be doing something else!
