A friend got an idea off pinterest and made it last week and put pics up so i gave it a go today, the girls LOVE it.
SPAGHETTI DOGS (my name for it)
Raw Spaghetti
Hot Dogs or Little Boys
Cut your hotdogs into smaller bit size lengths (so they are still round)
Put multiple pieces of spaghetti through the raw hotdog, i had 2 pieces of hotdog on say 3 pieces of spaghetti
Continue until all hotdog pieces are used.
Throw into boiling water and cook until both pasta & hotdogs are done.
Drain and servie with left over pasta sauce, tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, cheese - whatever you like.
Cute idea ZV! I suppose you could do spaghetti threaded through soft veges (zucchini, not sure what else off the top of my head) and serve with pasta, meat or cheese sauce...
As for ideas, there's the obvious - food faces on rice/corn cakes or english muffins (pizza faces).
Homemade yoghurt and fruit ice blocks with big pieces of fruit threaded in the middle and the yoghurt/fruit puree around the outside? I've also seen these done in coloured layers and that looks awesome.
I used to do banana slices dipped in honey and rolled in coconut when I was little and loved those with an 'eggmo' (egg milkshake). There'd be heaps of variations on that too
