This morning I went into the boys room as usual to wake them for kindy. I crept into bed with DS1 (I love to lie in bed with him and just look at him, hes so warm and peaceful) and to my surprise his smell has changed, he smells like daddy smells in the morning now. No more baby smell, no more little boy smell, he smells like a man child now.
Afew days ago his voice changed, no more little child squeak, the husky boy vhild voice has kicked in. Its taking awhile to get use to and Im kind of morning the loss of my little baby but I am also very excited for him to be growing up and he has had particular issues with being a small child, always very impatient to do big kid stuff, impatient with his body to do what he wants it to, impatient with mummy and daddy to recognise hes not a little kid.
Now I have just been into make their beds and I can smell the change in the air. DH must have closed their window last night- wont be doing that again! I got a smelly boys room now

I have been wondering why DS's room has started "smelling" in the past few weeks and I have just noticed the past few days that his "smell" has changed.
I don't feel as crazy now because I almost thought I was "smelling" things
Around this age boys get a "rush" of hormones, makes their voice and smell change. Can also mean afew weeks of emotional displays while they get use to this new state.
Ohhhhh my baby is growing up. Its wierd cause DD looks just like DS1, dressed in blue or his old stuff and you'd never know- she also has his grin.
