    Glass skylight

    Hi lovely ladies,

Has anyone put a glass skylight into their house???

DH and I have a double shower in our ensuite and we seriously lack light in there. The window is in the toilet which has a door that closes it off sperate to the rest of the bathroom.

We are thinking of having the roof above the shower made into a giant skylight. I know it will be expensive but I think it will look awesome and bring heaps of natural light into the house.

Not much help really but we got one of those round fairly cheap ones in our bathroom which was ridiculously dark (no windows) and it has made a HUGE difference for not much outlay. I would say go for it!!!

we put one in our other house in the upstairs ensuite - made a huge difference to the ensuite and the bedroom itself. We have one here in our kitchen, brings so much light into it.

Just make sure it's double glazed as you lose a lot of heat through there/gets really hot in summer.

Not got one, but seen them. They work well.

But having a glass bathroom roof? Mmmm. You're braver than I am - I don't like people looking at me when I'm fully clothed! I'd get it frosted or something like that. Make sure it can open too to release all that condensation.
