    Help me refill my pantry

    Hi girls,

So we are moving back into our house on the weekend after spending 6 months overseas. Before we left I gave away pretty much everything in my pantry/fridge/freezer as we were planning on being away from 12 months and didnt think anything would be ok when we got back.

So now im starting all over again. Hit me with everything you think I need to buy for my pantry/fridge.

The last time we moved into our house my first shop was 2 and a half trolleys and $980

***Runs off to grab pen and paper to start making major list ***

I'm moving house soon and we are moving NO food whatsoever. Well, maybe coffee.

    Here's my list:
    Coffee, teabags, sugar, milk
    Breakfast cereal
bread, butter, cheese, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, bacon
sausage rolls, hummous dip, hula hoops
    chocolate, fruit
    potatoes, carrots, frozen peas, brocolli
    Rice, pasta
    chicken pieces, sausages
    Chilled pizzas and garlic bread
Tortillas (sour cream, salsa, that sort of thing)
Herbs - I'm going to cut down, but will NEED herbes de provence and cajun spice mix to keep me ticking over for a few days!
Some readymade sandwiches for the first day - I'm not going to be thrilled making sandwiches for everyone when I could just buy them easily.
Alcohol. You need to celebrate moving back into your house, after all!
eta - forgot the olive oil! I would need to buy that too.
eta2 - I'm adding flour to my list too. I'm going to re-visit this soon rather than make out a new list.

That will be it for the unpacking/settling days, then I'll be doing a big shop once I've settled, about 2-3 days in. Don't do it on the first day, you'll be tired, hungry and just wanting it over with. Do it when you're a bit more rested - your initial shop should be for 3 days or so. That list will last us 4-5 days (as first night is pub night) and will take me a half-hour to do, travel time not included. It also gives you a time to think up a menu and make a shopping list for that week.

I have a 4-year-old who likes sausage rolls and hula hoops dipped in hummous. Keeps him quiet for a while. I know my priorities LOL.

LOL - no, I'm thinking little potato rings. Like crisps. Only more amusing in hummous.

Lots of food stuff there so won't add to that.. What about foil, baking paper, cling wrap, paper towel, sandwich bags & freezer bags?
