How to deal with a wonder week (help please!)

We're currently going through a 'wonder week'.
    It's the '46 week' one.

She doesn't want to sleep. Or be up. Doesn't want to eat but is hungry. Doesn't want to be held, but doesn't want to be on the floor. Is bored with her toys and just wants to touch everything.
She knows that she shouldn't touch things, but she does. I say 'no' and she'll smile at me and touch it again.

I'm so frustrated. I just want her to eat and sleep again.

How long does this last for!? How do I survive because I'm going bonkers.

    TIA

There is nothing you CAN do other than just keep as calm as possible. How long it lasts depends on the child. You might find she wants to drop a sleep or not have a particular meal.

Remember this though - She WILL eat if she is hungry (but may not be hungry at the same time of day). She WILL sleep if she is really ready for a nap (she may want to drop a sleep). She IS curious about new things so maybe get her a new toy or two that is for a slightly older baby to stimulate her. Sit her in a pram or chair or bouncer if she doesn't want to be held or on the floor.

And something just for you ... Remember this too shall pass. She is not being defiant or going against YOUR requests - she is just a baby and her world is opening up in a whole new way.

for you - I can remember that frustrating feeling all too well!

It is just a phase - I have told myself this so many times lol - but it really will pass.

I hope it passes soon - but just so you know, you'll look back one day and your heart will ache for her to be this age again - when it's all just a memory the hard times don't seem like such a big deal at all.

    Good luck xx

This lasts way longer than the Wonder Week! (Probably not what you wanted to hear)

Repeat - this too shall pass

Repeat as often as needed. I should have it tattooed to my eyelids.

FWIW it's my mantra still now that I am parenting teenagers...booyah.
