    Keepsake quilt

Ok so I want to make my baby clothes into a queen sized quilt. I am useless at sewing so I will have to pay someone to do it but my question is how do I find someone that does it?? I searched the net and found one fantastic site with one downfall... It was in the US!!
Does any one know of a good quilter willing to take in this big job??

I love this idea, have been thinking about doing it with some of Pie's stuff.

I don't have any recommendations sorry.. but I think it won't be cheap. I've looked into getting stuff professionally quilted before (like if I pieced a top but wanted it quilted) and it's really expensive!

Would be interested to hear how you go though.

Zap, have you got a family member or family friend that can sew and help you out?

Mum and I will be doing the basics for mine, but then she has a few sewing friends who have made quilts before that we'll be asking for help on the finer points!

My mum made me one...I'd hit up family members first.

I agree, ask family members, or go to a local craft store - not a big one as they are just like bunnings for fabric - and ask about sewing circles so you can meet people who can either teach you or help you in a more hands on sense.

I'm thinking of doing something similar and I do sew. Where are you located?

Go to your local patchwork shop and ask there. Great idea.
