    What can cause?

For the past couple of weeks I have had a kind of pimply rash over my back, top of my chest, and neck. It started off just at my shoulders and has now spread. It's itchy all the time. But it's nothing really visible if that makes sense. Maybe a few red spots??

I feel silly going to the doctors because there is nothing really there if that makes sense (Visibly) If you were to run your hard over my back it feels all bumpy tho.

I haven't changed any washing powder or any soap....

I had something similar when I was in FNQ - I think it was a heat rash or a reaction to the sunscreen I was using. Are you using a moisturiser or sunscreen there at all?

Could it be a stress rash?

I got something like that from a vaccination reaction - MMR I think. Have you had any vaccinations in the last month? Otherwise a virus although it is lasting a while. You could take a hay fever tablet like claratyne to see if that helps with the antihistamine. Don't worry about the fact that the dr can't see it as they can always feel it and that might be a key symptom - you never know!

what sort of stuff did you encounter on your last clinical? Is it possible you've contracted a virus that is presenting itself with a rash?

There are literally millions of causes for rashes with many of them being completely innocent.

I get one across my back throughout winter. I wear thick pjs and bury myself in the doona and get too hot. At the beginning of summer, it always goes away, so I put it down to being a heat rash type thing. Really annoying though.

Delp = Not Diabetic and Had kidney test this year they are all fine...

RB = Your properly onto something there.

Krys = No vaccinations. and no other symptoms for a virus so seems unlikely.

MG - Lots of stuff. I was at a medical centre so had a lot come in.

Pac = I have a warm house so haven't really been wearing much to bed. . .

I didn't think to take a antihistamine *Der, great nurse I'm going to be* Will go get some tomorrow because it's really starting to get annoying.

Dehydration? Toxins can build up and come out as a rash.

If it doesn't start to improve soon get yourself along to the dr because itching without rashes can be a sign of other chronic illnesses.

Eta, just read your post again, it can be a rash even without redness. Hope you get some relief with the antihistamine.
