    Dukan diet anyone?

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what their experiences were? (in terms of weight lost but also how you felt, energy levels etc).

I'm halfway through the book and can't decide if I think its a fad, quick fix, mildly dangerous or worth a proper go.

I have a friend who did it. She lost weight, but put quite a bit back on as soon as she stopped. It was hard, wasn't terribly life style friendly and i don't think very manageable longer term.

Thanks Nai. That is kind of my impression of it, not life friendly! The more of the book I read, the more rules there are so it kind of reminds me of sureslim in that regard. That worked great for me but wasn't sustainable long term or in winter lol. I think I will just start to increase protein, water etc and cut back bread, pasta, alcohol, cheese, choc and see how that works. I am taking time off in Jan so could give it a proper go then if the weight hasn't started to go down.

My mum and a friend of hers have both done it, just not "religiously" if that makes sense!
both have lost weight, the friend is doing it more so properly, lost over 10 kg over about a month and a bit, also joined a gym but only goes sporadically.
I'm pretty sure he did the extreme start thing, then just tries to stick to the maintenece plan...when he wants tolose a bit more he does the kick start thing again.

Mumis slowly but surely losing the kgs, only doing a bit here and there. definitely makes me interested in giving it a shot.
There is a cookbook too I think..
