It's dh's birthday soon and I pretty much have tomorrow to get him something or to organise to do something nice for him. ANY Suggestions? Normally I would have my act together and have it sorted by now. We don't generally do gifts but if I can come up with something then that would be a change I guess. We used to spend the day together doing something nice and then go out for dinner before ds came along. Now I don't know what to do.
What about a picnic lunch or dinner somewhere near a lake or in a park so your DS can come? I dunno what the weather is going to be like where you live though? Does your DH has fav foods that you could make?
Hi Rhi I was thinking of a picnic too. Weather is so up and down from one day to the next, just looked it up though and it says possible thunderstorms! Bummer, that leaves out any picnic plans etc. I wish he had fav food, he likes pretty much anything really and I'm on a darn diet to get rid of eczema so I don't fancy cooking anyway. I did just have a thought about going to a movie. Not sure if ds would behave himself for it though? I might post a thread on it.
Indoor picnic? Spread a blanket on the floor and make it like a real one!
Gift idea - do you have a plaster place nearby? You could DS to 'paint' a figure, put his handprints on a mug etc, I've done this heaps of times! Buy a little canvas and get him to fingerpaint on it, you can also get mini easels to sit them on. Only little ideas but if you don't normally do gifts then it's a nice surprise!
