Using QANTAS FF points while QANTAS is still here! - Where to??? Hong Kong?

We have LOTS of FF points to use and given all the nonsense going on, I'd like to book something with them sooner rather than later. We are wanting to go as soon as school finishes in early December so we're back just before Christmas

I was surprised to see so much written about Hong Kong that is kiddie friendly. Has anyone been?

I'll be just into my 2nd trimester so not real issues in that respect, but I don't want to go anywhere really cold cos the last thing I need is to have to buy lots of serious winter clothes in maternity size!

Not interested in Bali or similar and would really like somewhere that has something for all of us - not just a resort with a pool and beach.

Otherwise, any and all ideas gratefully received. Thanks ladies

Hong Kong is fantastic - great food, fabulous markets and awesome shopping all round. They so have Disneyland. We went to HK before kids though but would happily go back with kids. It's not super cheap but it's certainly a fun destination.

Singapore is another good option and is fabulous for families - there is loads to do!! You could tie in a trip to Bintan Island as well. Club Med Bintan is a winner with families.

If you've got enough points then you could also look at Hawaii.

Fiji is another good one but only really if you do want to do the resort and beach holiday which it sounds like you don't. It is a great spot though as is Vanuatu but once again, for the family friendly resorts and beaches.

Book soon as FF seats are limited so being flexible with dates helps too. That said, we've flown on points a lot but mainly domestically.

We love HK...but it is in China and China is cooooold in December. I can't wait to take my kids back there though. We were planning on going in late Jan next year until we found out about our 'extra' lol

I've been to HK a few times for work, but never with kids not in utero ...

Have been in January, March, April and December. In Dec/Jan it was pretty mild - 10-20oC every day. I was there from 16-22 weeks pg, and it was ideal weather, to be honest!

Other than sight seeing and Disneyland, not sure what the kidlets would enjoy ... there's plenty to see and do, I guess it would just depend on their personalities, and what they would find fun!! But there's plenty of kid friendly activities

Kim - I don't mind cold - just not snow and ice. I'm already feeling the heat so a bit of cool will be lovely!

Peanutter - thanks. I've found quite a few kid friendly activities which conveniently are close to or in shopping centres. So my DH can have fun with the girls while I have fun with the credit card!! We'll have a couple of nights at a Disney hotel right before we come home so the girls will love that.

Taurean - you're right about booking early. HK is still fine but Hawaii and mainland US is already too hard to get fights in the time we're after. Great minds though - we did the Singapore/Bintan last year and it was fantastic. We were going to just repeat it this year but thought it would be nice to go somewhere none of us have been before.

    Thanks for the advice ladies.

Hmmm. Perth to Hong Kong via Albury. I'm sure that's a well travelled route but funnily enough it doesn't come up as an option on the QANTAS website?? And we know how well visiting you turns out for us, E in particular. Poor love still has a scar on her beautiful face from our last failed attempt at a Melbourne catch up.

One day lovely. One day. Maybe when we both have #3s running around.
