    A complete turn around

A year ago I was at my wits end with DS16, sleeping problems, not going to school, smoking and just not being motivated. Four weeks ago he started an Automotive course through his school which he also did last year but because of very little attendance didn't pass. This time he hasn't missed a day, has arrived early, he is hurrying up his sister because we drop her off at school. He has been getting praised by his trainers, two of which are the same ones from last year and have commented on him being more mature. Yesterday he had an assessment and received wonderful results. He is just so much happier and loving what he is doing. He comes home and starts working on his car, it's like he can't get enough, he has come such a long way.

    Regards,
    Dianne

That's great Dianne - what do you think has triggered the change of attitude?

He told me a while back that he wants a career (mechanics), most of his friends have no idea what they want to do, some have left school and are on the dole already. Also since buying his Kingswood, that's motivated him a great deal, he took his passenger door off and did the panel beating on it himself. He can also see the change in himself, yesterday he said that most of the boys doing the course just don't care, exactly how he was a year ago.

    Regards,
    Dianne

Last week he changed my front brake disc pads, he did a great job and we were so happy with him. He was so happy he was able to save us a lot of money, last time we had them changed we paid $170, the disc pads cost me $42.00 so he was happy he could do something for us.

    Dianne
