Ikea POANG chairs? and mini POANG?

Does any one have Poang chairs (or similar) from Ikea? Are they comfy or does the springy novelty value wear off fast? Also, do people actually sit in them?

Also, does anyone have the mini version for kids? At what age did your child grow out of it?

I rave about my poang chair so much people think I'm on commission. It saved my back when I got home from hospital in agony when I started breastfeeding and it makes an awesome breastfeeding chair.

I loved using the poang adult sized chair at my calmbirth classes. just the right amount of spring and firm support

Miss L and Miss M love their poang chair...and they both fit...at the same time

DH and I both love ours. Best when you put your feet up on the matching footstool. My favourite place to watch DVDs or read a good book

Just don't believe that the cushion covers are really washable. I've washed ours once and tore the foam trying to fit it back in. But that said, we have cream colored ones and even after 5 years they still look good. You can buy the cushions separately so next time I'll just replace them.

We have a Poang in DD room, I've spent many nights feeding and rocking in that chair. I love it!
I made a cover for it out of lime material and it looks great

We have 3, the kids use them as reading chairs and watching dvds. Oldest DD is nearly 8 and she is really tall for her age (tallest in her class by a long shot) and she still fits into it no problems at all. We have had them at least a year, maybe even 18 months. I wash the covers on a as needs basis and haven't had any major spills or stains. They still look fine and get well used.

Ang, are they the mini ones that your kids have?

Thanks everyone for your enthusiastic replies. Haven't decided whether we're going to proceed on this but I'm more swayed than before you all answered!

Yes they are. My only wish would be that you could buy additional covers! Ours are cream and I wash them as needed (they wash up quite well actually) but it would be nice to have a spare cover in the even that we had some kind of major spillage!
