Sized v OSFM Cloth Nappies

Hello,

I need your help in deciding what route I should go for cloth nappies for my daughter. She is 6 months old and we are just starting with part time cloth, she is long and skinny.

Just wondering what is everyones opinion on the best way to go? Sized or OSFM? (Looking at Jazzy Buttz, Itti Bitti).

I have some Green Kids but they are quite bulky on her and spread her legs apart. I have been stuffing them with Booroi Prefolds.
Also have some sized Itti Bittis that are good.

I much prefer sized nappies. I have a few greenkids, and similarly i didn't like them when my DD was younger (also a skinny kid) but i use them abit more now. I haven't seen Jazzy Buttz but we have itti bittis and BBH sized nappies.

I have one ittibitti tutto OSFM, but i don't really like it. Much prefer the fit of medium ittis on her. She is starting to fit the large ittis as well, but the mediums are still a better fit. SHe is 18 months and 10kg now.

Especially if you are planning on having another child, or have someone you can pass nappies on to, or sell them to, it is worth getting sized nappies.

We have both. The sized nappies do fit better, but there's some OSFMs that have been a pretty good fit all the way through. We particularly liked Bubblebubs Bamboo Delights and Candies as OSFMs. We use GKs as well, but we really liked them from about 4 months onwards.

If you want to go sized, go for something with a really broad size range, like Genesa Forge or Bubblebubs AIOs, or TotsBots Bamboozles (not made anymore, but you could try for second hand) because then they last for ages.

I have long skinny kids too. I used both. I'm not really one to buy a nappy for the trimness - I'm more concerned with leaks, and DS would out wee most things.
I actually found on my (extremely) tall children that OSFM gave a better rise than sized nappies - a definite bonus for heavy wetters. Because they were so skinny I didn't really find a bulk issue when it came to clothes.
Totally agree with Audax about finding the wider ranging sized nappies though.

If you want some Jazzy Buttz, better get in quick - she's closing down and has discounted her stock. I can't give you any feedback as I only have 2 brand new ones waiting for this bub.
