sinking rods/balls for the pool

DD1 and I quite enjoy casual swimming, me for fitness, her because she loves 'big jump' (diving). I've seen other parents bring along fluro rods that you throw into the water and they sink, kinda slowly, they are an aide to make kids get their head under the water. Any idea where we can get that kind of thing from? I've been to Target, Kmart and Best n Less and haven't seen anything close.
