    Hypertension :(

So since the birth of DD2 (Feb 2011) my BP has been sky high. It was only picked up when DD2 was 6 months old after i went to the Dr for an unrelated visit. He said, we'll just check your BP as a routine and wow, it was at 155/90. since then we have been trying to get it under control and i am now on my 3rd lot of BP meds to see if they help. I'm now taking Enalapril (2 tabs a day=40mg total) and at last visit it was still high at 158/100

My biggest concern is that on my Dads side of the family one uncle and one aunty have both died from brain bleeds...my Dr is fully aware of my family history (hypertension on both sides) and my concerns, but im still stressing out.

My question is, has anyone else experienced this after pregnancy? during both my pregnancies my BP was pretty much perfect (120/80) and even when i was a heavy smoker it was around 120/85. I've had renal ultrasounds to rule out tumours on my adrenal glands (as this can send BP high without any warning) catachlomines (sp?) urine analysis etc....and so far all have come back clear. I haven't made any big changes to my lifestyle, although i do need to start doing more exercise

anyway, would love to hear from anyone who may have gone through something similar.

    TIA

    That's not good hun xoxox
Hopefully your Dr continues to work closely with you to get that BP under control. It may be time to do some lifestyle changes to bring it down with the medication xoxox

Hope it comes down soon xox
