I picked up DS from daycare yesterday and they have been doing a study on "my body" and as part of this yesterday they measured everyone.
The wall chart was on the wall as you walked out the door and I glanced at it but then went back for a closer look.
My son is 111cm. Nobody else in his class (16 kids) had even cracked the 100cm mark.
I was amazed, I mean I get comments all the time about how tall he is but I guess being his Mum I dont really take much notice of it
Me or DH arent exceptionally tall although DS14 is knocking 6ft now.
Is he very tall or are the kids in his class just littleuns? He is 4 in April and he only weighs 16kg so is very lanky too, my dalmatian puppy I like to call him
My daughter at 3 was 103cm ... hubby and I aren't overly tall, but both sides of our family are 6" PLUS! so we figure she is going to be taking after them!
Er, wish I could say she only weighs 16kgs tho :P she was a healthy 21kgs at 3 ...
DD1 is only around 90cm and the only reason i know is ebcause that was the height restriction for a ride at the local show, she just got in.. she's about avergae for a girl her age i think.
He might just be quite tall.
I am nearly 6ft but was actualyl quite short growing up so am hoping my girls are similar and get my stature and not the females on their dad's side
DD who is 3 in December is 110cms tall. Dh is 6ft 7 so it was bound to happen! DS is going to be taller than her at the same age if he keeps going the rate he is!
That's pretty tall! DD was only 103cm at 3 and that was over the 100% percentile.
I had a similar moment this year. They've been weighing and measuring the kids. They did it at the start of the year and last term. Before I could get in the gate all DD's little friends came running up telling me "I had to see this!!"
5inches later (over 8months) she towers over the tallest kids....but to me she's just DD I think DS is tiny lol but the raucous laughter when I say that to other mums tells me he isn't....well compared to DD he's little
