Flying with 4 yo and 14 mo

We're off to Perth today to see the IL's. It's a 5ish hour flight with dd4 and ds 14 months. I'm slightly nervous! Any suggestions? I think dd will be fine. She's looking forward to it and I've got a little backpack full of goodies to keep her occupied. Ds on the other hand. . .

They will be fine just make sure you keep toys out of sight as a new surprise/distraction that they don't know you have taken. Lots of snacks and make sure sucking for take off and landing. We flew to Townsville in June and DS1 was nearly 3 and DS2 was. 17 months. We gave them the squeeze yougurts to suck on,DS2 did bf at one stage.
    Enjoy trip

A spare shirt for you in case one of your kids is sick. Nothing worse than having to sit through a journey covered in vomit.

We've done the Perth/Melbourne and Perth/Sydney flight a couple of times and my girls have been really good with it. A couple of new toys or books, sultanas to keep them occupied for a long time, drink bottle for your DS (and DD if she isn't really comfortable with a cup). They have some ABC kids shows on the little tv things and I found that occupied both my kids pretty well.

Good luck and I hope you have a lovely holiday.
