Cruising, and keeping it a secret from hubby ;)

I have this possibly unrealistic plan of saving up without Professor knowing, and then whisking him away for our anniversary next year, to say thank you for all the crap we've been through this year. I have some questions though!

- I'd like to go on a one way cruise, from any port in Australia to somewhere like Bali or Fiji or similar, but I can't find any. Is it possible to get off the cruise and spend a week at a port, and then pick up where you left off on the next cruise that comes along? Or can anyone recommend a cruise line that would do a one way trip?

- Has anyone managed to do this, the surprise thing? I realise it'll be a heap of work to keep it a secret for him, but if I can pull it off he'll be amazed

I really hope you can keep it a secret - you'll definitely need your own personal email acc though.

Would you need to let him know to organise time off work? Unless you can organise that with his boss as a secret too maybe lol - that would be such a surprise then!

I know when we cruised to Vanuata on P&O that people were getting off in Vanuatu, and some getting back on, but only doing one leg of the journey. Best bet is to ring the companies and ask.

Very exciting! If he catches wind of a 'holiday' you could always just say you're going to Sydney or similar then suprise him with the cruise. You'll both love it!!
