    Open edu

    Eta- I meant open uni!

Has anyone studied through them? How did you find it? Was there much support?

I know the course I want to do, but right now going to uni isn't really practical, being in a different city from family, young kids, pregnancy etc. I'm pretty itchy to get a start on my degree though so was thinking of doing single units from the course and using them for credit when the time is right.

    Anyone done similar?

I did one, while still at high school so not really the same ...

DH did a couple much more recently, and found it ok - there's a "blackboard" which is an online forum, which people post Qs and discussions etc ... he ended up switching unis though, to have more diversity of subjects in his field

    not sure if that helps!!

Yep Doing my degree through Open Uni.
I really like it - pace wise, it is all me, I can study, or not, cram, or not, interact, or not.

I AM struggling with the lack of human interaction though - the actual physicality of being in a classroom, a lecture, with others, discussions, hearing a debate etc. I miss that. Hope I can get into a real classroom in the next 12 months once DD2 is a bit bigger.
