Parking Sydney Airport - travelling with toddler! Help please!
I'm meeting up with DH in Perth on 6 December so DS2 (21months) and I will be flying out from Sydney airport. I was going to catch a train in but, as I will have a stroller, carseat and luggage I thought it would be easier to drive and park.
Which carpark have you used and would recommend? There are so many to choose from! I need someone with a courtesy shuttle.
Also, any tips you have on keeping a toddler entertained for a 5 hour flight would be very much appreciated.
DH will be catching the same flight back with us (thank gawd).
can't really help you with parking but we flew from Sydney to Brisbane when DS was about 2.5. I took a backpack that I dedicated to him, so it had spare clothes, a cloth nappy, some snacks, his drink bottle and all the things I was going to use to keep him entertained. I took some sticker books, a A5 pencil case with 3 pencils and a pad to write/draw on, I had a little bag that we put a few of his favourite cars/trains/planes in (the small ones ) I took a lollipop to help him suck on (an Allen's one that is flat so he sucked it quicker then a chuppachup and not as much sugar so the theory goes ) I also bought him a helicopter from the airport (I let him choose and thought he might want a plane but helicopter it was) and also had my ipod touch with a couple of shows I had downloaded JIC.
I think because we flew from regional NSW to the airport and then onto brisbane in the afternoon I was lucky that he fell asleep so your DS might at some stage fall asleep too.
While it was a big day, we left here about 9am and got to brisbane about 5pm, I found it was more daunting thinking and planning then the acutal day itself. Goodluck

: atrocious spelling
We flew from Sydney to Melbourne last month and parked in the airport long term car park, that was really easy to do and just use their shuttle bus, the only problem would be is how you would manage a child, stroller and car seat getting onto the bus by yourself.....we only had children & bags.
The parking is around $25 day for parking outside or another $5 per day to park in the under cover section
