    Unhappy Strange blood loss

Hi, just after some info/advice. I gave birth 2 weeks ago and have had a fairly light (well for me anyway) period and it looked like it was going to finish soon but...

I just got home from being out and had a bit of pain 'down there' so went to toilet and noticed I hadnt bled at all in 4hrs when all of a sudden all this blood came gushing out, sorry I know, tmi! It seemed like such alot of blood and it kept going for a minute or so and then I even had to go back to toilet a couple times after within 30 minutes.

So anyway, is this normal?? It kinda freaked me out to see that much blood.

I am aching 'down there' now too.

i had a clot form in my uterus after DD was born - i essentially stopped bleeding, and then on day 14, i had a rush of blood, and a short time after, i delivered a cloth the size of hubbys fist. i had a significant amount of discomfort/pressure in my cervix until it passed. i rang the middies and they said it was normal and just to make sure i kept an eye on the volume of blood loss and to contact them if it was very heavy or i felt unwell/light headed or the bleeding smelt "wrong" (as in, possibility of infection)

if you are concerned, please contact your care providers and let them know what has happened. get their advice if for no other reason than to put your mind at ease, and have it documented on file in case it gets any worse kwim?

Hi BG. I already lost a clot that size too but that was a couple days after birth. This was maybe lots of lining but mainly just liquid blood. I had the aching for about 8 weeks after DS1 but this time I hadn't any pain until now.

I had a few bleeds a few weeks after having DD if i over did it. If i was out most the day shopping i would feel really sore and have a bleed.
