After 2 failed IVF/ICSI cycles, I'm starting my 3rd with Lucrin. My Dr said that my Endo (I have PCOS too) may be causing bad quality eggs.
She thinks that Lucrin could help with the quality. If this cycle doesn't work, I have to have surgery again to remove it. I already had ovarian drilling in April.
Would just love to hear if any of you ladies Had success with Lucrin for Endo?
I haven't, Sienna, as I'm having ICSI for MFI, but I just wanted to say that after 2 failed cycles, it's good that your FS is trying something a bit different. I wish you all the luck in the world this cycle.
Welcome to BB : a wealth of knowledge and of friendly members you will love it .
I have heard of it, it's now used often in the states, as a three month re boot for the uterus, after recurrent non implantation of otherwise healthy embryo's.
I have had a couple of friends use it for that purpose, I spoke to my FS about it and he mentioned thats it's used for endo. That's all I know, thought it may help a little
I haven't ever taken Lucrin but I am currently taking Zoladex for endo. From what I undertand these medications are pretty similar. So far I have had two injections 28 days apart and I am due for my last one at the early Jan before starting ICSI. Like you I'm crossing my fingers that this approach will work.
Really hope that this works for you. When are you due to start your next cycle?
Thx ladies. I had my blood test today and was meant to start FSH, but the Lucrin hasn't worked yet, so I have to wait another couple of weeks. Was a bit of a downer, as I was hoping to have the EC by Christmas.
My FS has also suggested the 3 month cycle of Lucrin, so if this cycle doesn't work, that is the next step.
Hi,
Like you I have Endo and PCO. I had 2 failed cycles and then changed to Lucrin and it worked. Unfortunately it was ectopic. I have just finished another cycle using Lucrin and have just found out it worked. So Lucrin worked for me it may not be right for everyone but changing protocols was the right move in my case.
