    Arm flapping

My DS is almost 16 months old and sometimes waves ('flaps') his arms when he is excited. I've never thought anything about it until my stupid FIL mentioned it over the weekend and now I'm really worried. Is it normal for him to do this?

    I would say, yes.
But with all things, if you are concerned go and see your Dr.

I guess it depends on the context and what other behaviours he displays. just on its own i wouldnt worry but i know myself if someone mentioned something like that to me it would play on my mind until ia sked someone... so if you are at all worried just get it checked out and put your mind at ease

Good responses like anything your worried about just get it checked out and as you can see many children do this.
I have a baby cousin that was diagnosed with autism after a few years of arm flapping, but have to say he was very obvious no speech just overexcited reactions and very emotional.
Best of luck and hope your at ease soon
