Help! DD#2 has an earring up her nose!

You know those sticker earrings? Well DD#2 (who is 3) has just got one stuck up her nose. At first it was just at the bottom where I could see it but before I could get it she breathed in and it went right up. I cant see it at all!
Do I need to worry about going to the ED to get it out? She has no dramas breathing or anything, but Im worried itll get stuck & infected or something?
I really dont want to go - DH is at work and I have a crying newborn & overtired 4yr old.
Do you think it will come out on its own? What would you do? Help!

I would go in as it is posible it could get into a lung

when i was a kid i got a polyanthus bud stuck up my nose, my mum took me to ed, they couldnt get it out, he said it could get infected, being as it was a plant thing. so my mum repeatedly chucked me in the swimming pool untill it popped out! Oh the 80's!!

im sure a trip to the ed will fix it. maybe call that on call nurse thing, 1300 health or whatever it is, see what they suggest!? hope shes ok

Can you make her sneeze somehow to start with? Then if that's not a success, yep probably a trip to the hospital to get it out would be needed.

Take her to the doc hun. My brother did the same with a saltana when we were little.

I did end up taking her in - I rang 13 health first and they said to go to emergency. Went in and the dr couldnt find the earring so she referred us to an ENT - we are going there today

I hope they get it out! My next door's DD went in to get one of those things removed from inside her ear yesterday! Must be the season for it. They got it out all ok.
