    Big feet = clumsy

DS has size 7.5 feet and wears size 1 or 2 clothes. He is also quite clumsy. If we go to the shops he will trip 4 or 5 times in 10 mins.
The tired-er he is, the more he trips. I'm usually holding his hand, so he doesn't actually fall over, but I have often wondered if it's normal.
Running around at home he's fine (mostly), it's just when he's been walking for a while and holding my hand.

So does your big-footed child trip over a lot or it's your clumsy child big-footed?

well my son turned 4 at the end of August and he has size 13 feet (yep huge) and OMG that kid will fall over at the drop of a hat. But I think its more to do with being a very full on clumsy, accident prone boy than his foot size.

I have big feet and Im forever falling over them. I was cronic as a kid and have got better as I got older, High heels helped alot. DS1 is clumsy too, Not sure if he has big feet for his age- might explain abit though

hmm...not sure - DS wears size 7.5 shoes as well but is just about out of his size 2 clothes now. he can be fairly clumsy but with him it's more to do with looking back at something or just generally not watching where he's going! is your DS looking around when you're out?

Sloane- sometimes he's watching where he's going, most times he's not. Too much to look at at the shops lol

Some kids are just clumsy. I don't think it has anything to do with feet size. Its probably more developmental than anything - not in a bad way, but in a way that means they just haven't developed their coordination very well yet. We studied it a bit this year and it's certainly not uncommon.

I agree with Trill. My kids have huge feet (youth size 2 at 5 and 10-11 at 2.5) and one is clumsy, one isn't. My little guy did do the tripping thing for a bit but he grew out of it. DD is just clumsy.
