    Christmas Newsletter

Who writes a Christmas/End of Year Newsletter? You know, one of those open letters you send to many people.

I never have but I always actually enjoy reading other peoples (and looking at the photos) so I'm wondering if maybe I'll write one while we're away over Christmasto email out afterwards. I think I'm always reluctant about the impersonalness (not a word!) of it... but maybe it's not so bad?

    Thoughts?

i don't mind them - it's nice to catch up - esp with rello's we don't see often. the main one we get every year was very impersonal this year though - it just seemed to come to a halt with no sign off other than signatures. and photos were too small to see details. i guess if you can find the balance between talking about achievements/events and still making people feel involved, they are awesome. but this one went too far towards almost an update for their website in the "about us" section!

We try for a Christmas letter each year but the past few have had New Year letters instead; mainly sent to extended family & long distance friends
