How long until embryo is transferred in a FET?

Hi girls,

Just curious about how long after the first day of you cycle the embryo is put back in? We have only done a fresh transfer and this is our 1st FET with our only snow baby :-( my period is due around 24 jan and I have from 16 -28 feb off work. I am presuming the embryo will be put back around the 13 or 14 day mark? At least I'll be off work for the TWW and we have our friend arriving from England so hopefully that will take my mind off it a little bit!!!

Is it a day 2/3 or a day 5/6? It is transferred on (ovulation day + age of embie), so a day 5 frostie would be transferred O+5 etc. Best of luck with it .

Hi Amy, they will track your cycle to see when you ovulate ( depends on clinic but either OPKs, blood tests or u/s) and depending on how old your embryo is ( D2/3 or D5) will leave it that many days to put it, so it is going in to implant when it 'naturally' would. So if you ovulate cd14 it would be a few days after that probably. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply girls, it is a 3 day old embie.

I know they will track my bloods etc but was just curious as to how it worked as our clinic didn't give me a lot of info over the phone, out appointment with the fs is on Tuesday next week do we should get some more info then I guess.

They will transfer at the point where your body is ready for a 3-day embryo - not sure what kind of cycle you're doing? i didn't O, as on HRT, so they just got my body ready for implantation (in a sort of pregnant-like state) and then transfered
