How to get rid of smell from car?

I got a new (read new for me) car a few weeks ago & it stinks.

Well, most people think it smells nice but with my MS it makes me not even want to get in the car. We bought it from a dealer & it stinks of the gross chemicals they use to clean the upholstery etc. How do I get rid of it? With the warmer weather it makes the "stench" worse, so if we get in the car I am pretty much ready to vomit every time.

    Heeeeeeeelp!!!!!!!!

Try bicarb. Probably as you have to use the car, sit an open box in there to absorb smells. Otherwise, if you have time, sprinkle the all the upholstery with it, leave it as long as you can and then vacuum. Hopefully it does work with chemicals.

Maybe also look at giving the hard surfaces a wipe over, chances are they use some chemical product on those to make them look better. Bit stumped as what you could use as you would want to use something natural. Just try it in a hidden spot first.

White vinegar and water n a sray bottle and spray it all around the car and on the upholstery liberally. You may need to do it a few times.
I would sprinkle the bicarb around the floors and vacuum it up too.

I can sympathise. We had a hire car for the day while ours was getting fixed. I was at an all time high for my morning sickness. Everytime I got in the car I wanted to vomit.
It was a black car and it was 35C outside. It was horrible!!
