    Numbers on clock

Ever since I had my son earlier this month I've been seeing numbers in a sequence on digital clocks. It started off with mostly 11:11, 12:12, 3:33 etc. Then I had a couple of 11:11 on the 11th (phone has date under time) and 12:12 on the 12th as well as the basic ones I mentioned already. Then I started seeing 01:23 a lot too. The last week I've been seeing 10:10 or 08:08 quite a bit.

It seems like whenever I look at my phone it's a number in sequence or repeating. I also notice it on my laptop or if I glance at DH's watch. Possibly unrelated but feel like there is something/someone around me lately, feel a hand on my left shoulder. The hand is not new but haven't felt it for months.

Just curious if there is any interesting theory about things like this? Or is it just coincidence like my DH thinks?

Numbers do mean things and it depends on what you follow as to what it means. Check out some sites on Numerology.

I see 1234 everywhere, it is even mine and my children's birthdays combined.

    I found this for you:

111, 1111 - These signs indicate that your thoughts are correct for the new cycle of your life and they are on your Spiritual Path. Continue with and follow these, as these thoughts relate to a new cycle in your life that is on your Spiritual Path.

121, 1221, 2121, 2211, 1122 - These signs indicate that your current train of thought is correct for your Spiritual Path. These thoughts are your focus and following these will lead you along your Spiritual Path. This can be expressed simply as, 'You're following your path!'.

I learnt about this phenomenon when I was at University. It has to do with how our brains automatically process memory.

How often do you look at the time on your watch/clock/phone then seconds later have to look again because you already forgot what it was? It happens all the time. That's because your brain is constantly making choices as to what to place in it's long term memory, and what to just keep temporarily in short term memory. In general the time is processed as quite low priority due to it's changing manner and the brain delegates it to short term memory. Times like 1:23 and 11:11 are more interesting than say 9:28, so your brain ranks it with a higher importance and might pop it into long term memory. Then next time when you see those numbers again you remember the last time because it is in your long term memory (whereas the next time you see 9.28 you no longer have the specific memory of the last time you saw it). Also, our brain is absolutely amazing at filtering what it thinks you should "notice" and what you don't need to. You'd be amazed how many things your eyes see each day that the brain filters out and you would never even know that you saw them.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that even though I believe in the science behind this phenomenon, I also believe that if certain numbers are important/special to you, then because of that your brain may also rank a memory of seeing those numbers as important and put that memory into the long term memory as well. Just didn't want to discount anyone's beliefs about the importance on numbers in their lives

Bumping this. I am constantly seeing 2:22 and 11:11 and 23:23 etc...it's driving me crazy!

I think I am in a more physically receptive phase though. My sis is physic and I just spent two weeks with her, so I feel like my brain is switched in the open position if that makes sense?

We see numbers all day long, but we only notice/remember the interesting ones. Think about number plates, telephone numbers, house numbers, serial numbers. We're swamped by them, so unless they interest us we ignore them.

How many times have you looked at your watch and 5 seconds later realised you have no idea what the time is, because your brain didn't even bother to process what you just saw.

It's exactly what Mylitta said. There's really nothing mystical or psychic going on.
