    Blood tests

    Hi Ladies,

Just feeling a little depressed and scared so may need a few hugs!

So question is, I had a blood test done at 11dpo to confirm pregnancy (last wednesday), do you think the same medical centre would do another test for me tomorrow to confirm that my HCG has increased nicely?

At the moment I am only 4wks and time just seems soo slow!!!! I just want to reach 12weeks to do my scan.

I just really want this bub to be very sticky thats all.

    Thanks in advance!

Yep, they probably would, knowing you are a LTTTC'er. I am not shy about telling GP's what I want from them. Best of luck hun.

Am sure they would, and it can't hurt to ask.

    Good luck (and congrats again!).

Lots and lots of for you. The 12 week mark must seem so far away.
I also agree that you should ask for another blood test, if you feel that you will be comforted by this.
    All the best xx

I agree, can't hurt to ask and I can't see why you would be refused. I also asked for an early scan, around 6-7 weeks just to make sure everything was fine. My gp was happy to refer me and called it a 'dating scan' so I could claim it on Medicare.

Good luck, and hope time flies by for you xx

My doctor had me down as a nutcase. I had a bt every few days up to about 9 weeks and had about 3 scans as well.
They are usually understanding, especially if you have been through a lot to get here,

Congrats! I've no doubt your GP will give you another form ... and another if you want ... to have a second (or more) BT.
If it makes you feel any better, I asked for about six BTs over a three-week period, and then I had a scan at 6w. Having said that ... I was lightly bleeding/spotting most of that time so I really needed to know if my pg was progressing.
    Good luck xx

    Thanks for the support ladies.

At the moment I have gastro (great timing hey)!! Dont know how i contracted it but was very upset.

Went to the medical center but was too chicken to ask for a blood test as they are very rude docs there.

So I took half a day off to talk to my family doctor who is much more understanding and gave me a blood test to recheck my HCG and reassured me that gastro won't harm the bub BUT IM STILL WORRED =(

Glad your GP got it sorted. Best of luck with the next BT.

You poor love, gastro is the worst. Bubs will be ok though, really. Rest and look after yourself.

Hun, I sympathise about the gastro. I had a shocking dose of it when I was pg with DS2 (think I was about 5 months pg at the time). It didn't affect him one iota.
Look after yourself cos it's no fun, xx

    Fabulous numbers!

As for the mega nervous, I think unfortunately that's par for the course with us LTTTCers but be reassured by those great results and if you feel you need more blood tests or scans then don't be afraid to ask. And post away any time you feel the need, there are plenty of us who know exactly what you're going through xx
