Anyone's kids on the Gaps diet??

Anyone have kids on a gaps diet or on one themselves?? Are there any forums or Facebook groups I can join to get ideas for recipes and such. Just finished at the naturopath and she wants ds2 on a gaps and low sals diet to completely heal his gut so we can the see where his food intolerances lie. But I am feeling very overwhelmed as he is such a picky eater already.

there is a previous thread about someone trying to help her autistic son here. It sounds quite helpful. I've started to toss up the idea for my DS as he has eczema but that's as far as I've gone as he's in childcare 3 days a week.

Oh yes, yes, yes! We're on the GAPS diet. It's brilliant. Everyone should be on it really- it's good, healthy eating

I'm so glad to hear your naturopath is recommending it and it's perfect for curing food intolerances. I'm not sure what the low sals diet is though? Low salicylates? If he's sensitive to salicylates that may help in the beginning while he's still healing, but eventually he should tolerate them. I'd 100% encourage you to do GAPS. Join our GAPS thread and feel free to ask any questions.

The best source of information are the GAPShelp and GAPSdiet yahoo groups- find which one you prefer.

You might like this video- I think it gives a good over view of the what the diet is and why it works. Well worth the 48mins.
