DD & DS share a room - how to decorate?

As the title says I am moving DD (4 years) & DS (2 years) into a room together for our newest additon has somewhere to sleep. Up until now they have had seperate rooms and decorated as a race track and a butterfly room.

They are now sharing what was DD's room so a butterfly theme is a bit too girly for DS but DD loves it.

So how do I decorate it so it has something for them both??

    Thanks.

Sky theme, night time on one side, so space, rockets, planets, stars aliens etc and on the other side day time, butterflies, rainbows, flowers etc or something that isn't either way like jungle, zoo, or just bright colours?

Choose a colour or fabric you like and then go from there.

DS2 just moved from a cot to a bed as we are going to ttc I wanted to choose a colour scheme that would work well for both a boy or a girl.

I chose blue, green and white with a yellow highlight - I found a patchwork patterned coverlet in those colours in Spotlight and started from there. They are gender neutral and I have a huge aversion to pink for girls and blue for boys.

I love mixing different patterns together - We have animal prints, checks, stripes, solids, stars, circles all in these colours. I also love texture. He has a large sherpa blue blanket that we can both snuggle under together and read a story and a textured white quilt on his bed.

ATM he has a removal wall sticker border of dinosaurs around the room (in these colours). I'm going to change these to letters and numbers which I can put haphazardly around the room.

The furniture is also going to get an overhaul with a sand and repaint in white.

I did underwater for my twins when they shared. Mermaids and fish all swimming together, they both loved it and it was so easy to do.
