hugs hun - sorry they're bugging you so much! just ignore the calls and enjoy the last days of your pregnancy.
hopefully you and Miss J can just chill out together
So I have had three missed phone calls today, asking me if I have had the baby yet. One from my mum, one from a gf, and one from a chick from work. It may seem like a nice gesture to some of you, that they are checking up on me, but actually I find it really annoying.
they all know I bake long, so have been told not to expect an announcement till later in the month. Urrrgghhh!!!
I just find it hugely annoying. It isn't like it is gonna be kept a secret when it all happens. I just want to be left alone!
So haven't responded to anyone. DH is on a late shift and then sleeps in an oncall house near work tonight, but after tonight I am not even going to listen to any voicemail messages and certainly not going to be answering the phone. I just don't need it. Might even deactivate my fb account too. Just really want to be left alone accept for a select few ppl who don't p**s me off whilst I am in such a techy mood. i just don't need it.....
hugs hun - sorry they're bugging you so much! just ignore the calls and enjoy the last days of your pregnancy.

I hate it when people bug pregnant people. It should be ILLEGAL!!
I think it's so annoying that people just ask "Haven't you had that baby yet" when it's really obvious that they're looking at a ginormous tummy.
I never had that problem, as I only made it to 34 weeks, and was away from our hometown from 31 weeks.
Our phone has a Do Not Disturb button. Or you could just take it off the hook, put your mobile on silent and enjoy your last few weeks with you and your family.
Good luck!
You need to start responding with "Yes, we did, two weeks ago. We just chose not to tell you."
Or "Didn't you get my carrier pigeon?"
How bout "Didn't you see the sky writing?"
Or "I asked DH to call the important people. Did he forget you?"
Hang in there!
Yes! i am starting to get it too.
Hugs hotI. If they have already started on you I hope u have a baby soon cos other wise it will feel like forever!
Awww Hun. I was so tempted to call you today just to send you love but was afraid that it would feel like an 'is it happening yet' phone call. I am thinking of you though and hoping you're managing to relish these last weeks of baby baking and precious time with little J.
Put your phone on silent and curl up with your girl and a good story or 3. Everyone else can just wait.
Much much love to you.
Oh I am so going to use these!![]()
bella! yes leave the phone alone, and ignore all the queries, I know people see it as being nice to ask but, they its never taken the right way by the one whose pregnant. The questions were the worst thing about going over with DD2 for me. And Dh will say the same, he was silly enough to answer the phone at home, and he got the questions at work too! He's learnt this time round though!
My plan is to stop answering the phone etc as of this week.![]()
Stuff 'em
Seriously, I cant imagine how you feel, I never got to that point, however I fully planned on just saying "Yes, the baby has arrived, must go feed it, See ya" and then gleefully hang up
Ok, I'm just trying to make you laugh
Enjoy your last few days as a Mum of 1 gorgeous, and wishing you an amazing birth
Nay
xx
I can only imagine how annoying that must be! I dread the thought of actually going longer than 37.5 weeks because I know people will start checking to see if I've had the baby yet.
I guess the only consolation is knowing that they only do it because they care about you and are excited for you.
Much love to you hun and I hope that, this issue aside, you are enjoying the final part of your pregnancy journey and looking forward to newborn journey again ♥
Aaaargh how annoying! Unplug the phone after tomorrow![]()
Kind of glad i'm not the only one! I'm overdue and that is hard enough on its own! I keep threatening that next time i'll reply "yes, we had it last week. We just didn't tell you because we don't like you"!
alternative reply: "baby? I'm not pregnant ... I just ate all the pies."
Oceanprincess, there are some seriously funny replies there! I may just use them. DH is already laughing at me being so flippant in my responses to ppl at the moment. A lady the other day asked me "do u know what u r having?". I replied that we were definitely having a baby as we had ruled out calf, puppies and foals, on the u/s. Poor lady was only trying to be nice.
Kat, u would always be welcome to call me! Silly girl. I know u won't be calling to find out if the baby is born as u will be one of the first to be told, being that u r my p.i.g!
To everyone else, thank u all for making me laugh! I need that right now more than ever. I am actually enjoying the last bit of this pregnancy. Minus the annoying queries!
Anyway thanks everyone!
Maybe you could put up a FB status asking people not to call or ask if you've had the baby yet and that you will let everyone know when your bundle of joy has arrived. Ugh! Youre on the home stretch now, hang in there!!![]()
OP & Peanutter
I intend on telling people I'm due in October. That way they'll leave me the heck alone. But then I'll have to cope with the "OMG you're HUUUUUUUUUGE" comments again... ah, gotta love being public property...
