Help!! A smell in my fridge that won't budge!!

I have a smell coming from the fridge - I have emptied and wiped it out 4 times now - Ive cleaned it with multiple products and it still lingers *tanty* vanilla spray, vinegar, disinfectant, a container of bi-carb - it won't leave!

Once I've cleaned it there is no smells for about 15 minutes but then it's back - I have no idea what to do next. I'm wondering if it's lingering Christmas food smells or something, but I don't understand why cleaning it isn't working! We've checked under the fridge, and cleaned out the freezer too.

Help - has this happened to anyone before? It's setting my morning sickness off every time I open the fridge and I'm so sick of it! I have no idea what to do next. Any ideas?

cut a lemon and keep it in fridge for awhile.

have you checked the seals, OR the drip tray underneath the fridge? that can get feral.

The seals have all been cleaned - will definitely give the lemon a go today.

could it be something in the freezer or something that has rolled under the fridge that has gone off?

We have a smell inside our fridge as well and we have never had a fridge so clean while we were trying to get rid of it LOL. Found out it was in the air circulation thing and we can't take it out, so we have to put up with it. It only smells when the motor switches on so it's not too bad. Maybe that's what your problem is too?

i had that too and it was a drip tray behind the fridge. I nearly vomited cleaning that - one of the most disgusting things I have ever cleaned!

I put a lemon in there this morning but have still been avoiding opening it lol.

The air circulation makes sense - a friend mentioned maybe taking everything out and leaving the door open for a day to let it air out. I wonder it that would help with that?

We've checked underneath the fridge and it's all clear - not the drip tray though but I've asked DF to check that tomorrow when I'm out with DD lol. If its that bad I don't want to be here lol

Thanks so much for the suggestions ladies - I'll let you know how I go!

I put a bowl of bicarb in mine. Definately check the seal also check the contents, I once had a jar that held an odour
