    Hydrozole cream and MCNs

    Hi there,

My bub has a re-occuring fungal nappy rash and we are using hydrozole. Does anyone know if this cream is compatible with MCNs? DS is in sposies whilst I have the cream on but the cream is to be used for about 5 days and I'd rather use our MCNs if possible. I'm out of liners so that isn't an option at the moment.

    TIA

Dunno about the cream. But while he's in sposies might be a good idea to do a strip wash and a rinse in some canestin if it keeps coming back.

Helle, how do you rinse in canestin? Isn't that the fungal cream, or have i got the wrong end of the stick?

I was going to suggest the canasten wash for you MCN too. Its a liquid you find in the washing powder isle in the supermarket.

We are using hydrozole at the moment too. We're using microfleece liners, but it doesn't seem to be staining them. I still use them just to be safe though! We are using Canesten rinse in every wash. Also we are trying to use non-PUL nappies where possible, so fitteds without covers or nappies that use fleece as their waterproof layer for improved breathability.

Good luck, I hope it clears up for you!

Thanks ladies, the caneastan seems to have worked. The rash hasn't been back for days now. His butt hasn't looked so good in a long time. I would never have known about the caneastan if it weren't for you lovely ladies and this lovely site!!!!!
