    Argh

What do I do with a baby who won't let you put him down during the day ... He is so clingy this week and every time I put him down to sleep he wakes up and cries and works himself into a flap.

Get a baby carrier quickly? Or lie down and get a rest when he does. Both of which worked for me.

Yes we've had some days like that too, makes things hard. My carrier has been well used!

A sling or wrap so you can tie him to you is often more comfortable than a modern style carrier, and you can get some lovely designs. You can also breastfeed whilst bub is in the sling without having to adjust too much so it can be very helpful for a velcro sooky baby.

a sling/carrier and/or enjoy relaxing on the couch! make sure you have some snacks, water & a book/mag/the remote handy. i fought it for a long time but then gave in & came to enjoy my forced relaxation time! i'm guessing you only get the opportunity to do it with your first!

If I had my time again I wouldn't get up off the couch lol! I would just snuggle, snuggle and snuggle! However I understand that when you are there at that time of having a clingy baby that won't be put down it is frustrating. So I would recommend a sling. In fact if I had my time again I would put bubs in the sling first thing in the morning and keep him in it all day. I did use it for going out and in the evenings when he was really unsettled but looking back I should have just ignored my ignorant MCHN and just worn him all the time. Would have saved alot of stress!! Good luck. This will pass...one day you will have an independent toddler who you have to try and catch to get cuddles!
