How long to scripts last for?

Hi all,

DH has a script for an ongoing medication that was issued 25/1/11. He hasn't needed it yet as had other scripts for it. Does anyone know if I will still be able to have it filled? I thought maybe it was a 12 month thing?

generally it's a 12 month option to have it refilled. call your local pharmacy and check. it should still be in date for you to have it filled

It is usually the date of issue.
Call the chemist you had it last filled at, they should be able to help

THere should be a date on the script itself that says when it's valid till. Usually they are good for 12 months, but sometimes it's only 6 months.
