Have to visit a newborn today, born on my angel's due date
I should be past this. I have a beautiful growing baby inside me but I just can't get organised to get out the door and visit my friend and her newborn.
I lost four angels last year and each one broke my heart. I've past two due dates so far with another two to go. Sitting on pregnancy No. 10 I am so incredibly grateful that I am where I am, I know how lucky I am, so what is wrong with me that I can't acknowledge these days as they pass but not have them cripple me?
I feel for you, I have had 2 losses and I think when we are pregnant or see a baby it reinforces our image of the ones we lost, I mean it makes you realise just exactly what those little souls could have become, a breathing living being, I am experiencing strong grief at the moment too as I look at my new son it reminds me so much of what could have been. Stay strong.
It's ok to grieve. It is completely normal to feel like you are hun. It is not that you wish your friend didn't have her baby, it's just that you wish you didn't have to go through the pain that you have had to go through to get to where you are today and that is ok. Hope you find a way to heal hun, time will help xoxox
Being my Angel's due date today, I totally understand how you feel. Due dates are so hard, pg or not, it makes no difference. This is my third 'due date' that has passed and each one is damn hard.
It didn't go too badly. Was a bit difficult to really even look at him for a while, but (probably a good thing) he literally got dumped on me when my friend had to sort out a minor crisis with her DD. Was lovely to have that gorgeous baby smell and such a tiny little person in my arms again. It did make me sad and I had a bit of a cry when I got in the car to leave, but all in all, I'm really glad I went to visit today. I think it will make it a bit easier to visit them now that I've had the first visit IYKWIM.
Glad it went well hun, I've been in a similar boat to you lately, Jan 21st was the 7th anniversary of losing my first bub, and on preg #10 too sometimes it's just easier to break down and not be the one coping for a bit. They all still cripple me too, doesn't matter how many years pass the pain still gets to me on those dates or when I hit certain milestones xxx
Hope things are looking a bit better for you now
