    Workouts at home.

I need inspiration - I still have another 2 weeks until school goes back and I can get back into my normal 5-6 day a week gym routine (they have a creche at the gym but the normal not catering for school age children lameness applies).
I just did 30 minutes of sprints in the backyard but they get boring after a while.

I have weights so I do a little resistance training and sit-ups, push-ups and dips.

What else can I do around the home? Do they still have aerobics on TV or anything else?

I have a DeniseAusten DVD that is great. Using fitball and weights.

Yoga is good at home, both for strength & cardio.

Chuck on music & dance in your lounge room. I can hear the Flashdance song now

You could try burpees, pyramids ie squat - lunge pyramid 10,9,8 or dips - push up burpees. You could also pyramid by doing an excercise then running a lap of your garden. If you have small weights, 1kg or 1.5kg you could do 1 min of different arm excercises ending with a lateral hold. Or to work your butt off (as my trainer says lol) get on your hands and knees lock an approx 3kg weight behind you knee and lift your foot up to the sky for 20 repeat on the other side then do the same out to side. Then for the 3rd set do up, then out as count of 1 repeat 10 times.
For core strength you could do v sit rows - tilt back slightly, holding in your stomach lift legs and hold your arms out as if you are rowing. As you pull your arms back push your legs out. do this for the count of 20. Balance ones are also good for your core stand on one leg with a weight your comfortable with and lower it to the ground repeat 10 times & then change legs & repeat.

Thats just a few off the top of my head. Sorry if it's not what you had in mind!

how about you mix it up a little? set yourself two work stations 20m apart - one end is upper body and the other is lower. eg

    10 x squats
    run 20m
    10 x push ups
    run 20m
    10 x lunges
    run 20m
    10 x tricep dips
    run 20m
    10 x sumo squats
    run 20m
    10 x bicep curls
    run 20m
10 x step ups per side
    run 20m
    10 x lat raises

you could throw in random cardio as well eg
    10 squats
    run 20m
    10 push ups
    run 20m
    3 min skipping
    run 20m
    10 burpees
    run 20m
    10 lunges etc etc

you could also take the kids to the park and use the equipment to train. Step ups on the equipment, pull ups on low bars etc.

In a bit of a rush but if you have a look on Pinterest and wade through the pro-ana pages when you search health/workout etc there are some good posts with workouts similar to what MG has posted. Also if you have an iPhone there is an app called Boot Camp that I quite like. I also have Jillian Michaels dvds - 30 day shred and Ripped in 30 - great full on 20 min work outs. Sounds like you are super fit so could do 2 at once.

I've got the 30 day shred DVD, it's a pretty good workout for home with some handweights.

I really like the 30day shred too. Especially how it's only 20mins so I can easily get it done most of the time without interruptions from the kids.

I have a tyre (not just the one round my middle) that I flip over around my back yard. I squat down and really work my legs lifting it over. My babies usually just jump on the tramp shouting 'you can do it mummy' at me so it keeps them entertained watching me sweat!
