    Waking and screaming

DD always wakes at night, sometimes lots. But recently she's been crying and screaming a lot when she wakes, which is not normal for her. Her molars have been bulging for a while - I've given her nurofen for teething pain in the past, which seemed to help a bit, but that has made no difference to the crying. She doesn't appear to be otherwise unwell. She wakes (every hour or so), cries and/or screams for some time, then settles back to sleep with either cuddles or a feed.
    Anyone elses kid done this?

Yes both of them, DD1 more than 2, i found using Neuofen helped a bit.. but it seemed to be teething related here, it passed in time, i never found a cure. Love to you its hard. For us it was a 'This too shall pass thing'

yes, my dd would do it all the time. just wake and scream her head off for reasons I could never work out. she'll still do it occasionally now, but since she had her tonsils and adanoids out its lessened quite dramatically. we think it may have had to do with her breathing. Not sure if that helps you at all, but if it continues it could be worth getting her checked out.

DD2 is going through this now, not screaming but not settling easily like she would normally. She is probably sleeping in 20-30 minutes cycles, although last night she slept great. She is getting her molars too and she has had 1 break through so far but the rest are bulging. I have given her nurofen and panadol on one night but only because she had a temp too. I have found thought that she likes icy water alot. So before I go to bed I fill her sippy cup with ice cubes and when she wakes she I can give her a drink. Guess it soothes her a little.
I can't get bonjela in her mouth at all, she clentches shut like a vise so I don't even try anymore.

She does wear an Amber necklace. I would hate to see how she is if I took that off

Yep we go through it here on and off every couple of months. Going through a patch of it now actually. Joy of joys.

The only reason I can figure (if there is one) is teeth? Once I've ruled out nappy/hungry/thirsty/unwell. We usually use the teething relief drops before bed and during the wake ups and I *think* they help. Or it just passes until next time.

    Hope it all settles soon.

Yeah DS (19months) is doing it at the moment. He doesn't appear to be teething though so I have no idea.... scares the life out of me in the middle of the night
