3 yr old wont sleep at night till late since daylight savings started. ideas appreciated

Ive also heard that alot of kids around 3 dont sleep till 10.30 if they have a day sleep while otherwise they might sleep at 7.30 or 8

    I'd like strategies pls for
    getting her to bed
    keeping her in bed
getting her to sleep at night at a reasonable hour
    Thank you.
How do i find similar threads please as i'm not familiar with this site>

    Welcome!!

I have a 3 year old as well and have to say all kids are different. My son can sleep for up to 3 hours during the day and then go to bed at 8 and sleep til 6-7. Other kids won't so you can only do what works for you. We are currently cutting back his day nap a bit so we can get him to bed a bit earlier once DLS cuts back a bit as well.

What is working for us right now is a sticker chart. We go through our regular routine, dinner, bath, story, teeth, bed. If he stays in bed with no mucking around etc. he will get a special sticker on his chart - once he gets a full chart he gets to choose a little toy at the shops. We have found doing this with our DD who is 4, for a few weeks gets her out of the habit of mucking around and we can get rid of the chart.

Can you get some backing for her curtains to block out the light?

Good luck it is tricky and have to say I even commented to my DH today that I was glad it was 7:30 and a bit darker tonight that usual so the days are definitely starting to get a wee bit shorter. xoxo

Blockout blinds are $70 from spotlight. We were having prob with dd since daylight saving started and it fixed the problem for us.
