    First FET tomorrow

    Hi All,

I have my first FET tomorrow after a cancelled ET in my first IVF cycle due to threatened OHSS (that was in November which seems like forever ago - I've had to wait post Xmas etc.

On Friday my clinic thawed 3 x 3 day emboss - hoping that at least one would make it to a day 5 Glasgow for tomorrow. I have just had the embryologist call to say that all 3 emboss are dividing beautifully and are "perfect" and that she will be very surprised if we don't have more than 1 x blastie to choose from tomorrow morning.

This has been a relatively natural cycle with only progesterone predators for support. I have no side effects from these? Is this normal? I have read other people have cramps, sore boobs etc.

Surprisingly I feel very relaxed and excited. I was wondering what to expect from the 2 ww and how often couples get lucky with their first FET being successful.

    Thanks in advance xxx

    Thanks so much ladies

IVF is waiting, waiting and more waiting!!! I'm a pretty impatient person - so I am learning a few valuable lessons from all of this!

At the moment I just feel incredibly grateful we will have something to transfer. It was a hard decision to defrost day 3's to aim for day 5's.

Best of luck to both of you in your continued journeys. I guess tomorrow I will need to find a 2ww thread.

    Xx

My first FET resulted in my almost 3 year old daughter. And I am also currently in the TWW from another FET trying to get her a sibling. So first goes can work!

Good luck and I will see you in the TWW thread.

Hi hun, my FS told me that he has more success with FETs than fresh transfers. I got a BFP on my first FET, and he is now almost 23 months old. GL hunni!

The LTTTC and AC (assissted conception) threads are sort of combined, so you can be part of them even if you havent been trying for more than 12 months, as some people use AC before that.

*finds the link* https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...9/index15.html <-- thats the ltttc tww, (but you can go in there if you are AC too. (sorry dont know how to link as a link..)

    How did you go??

    Hi lovely ladies,

Thank you so much for asking about my day it went really well - 1 x 5 day blast transferred and the other 2 which also made it to Blast have been refrozen ( frozen, thawed, frozen thawed - they sound like leftovers or dinner except they keep better! Haha.

So I am officially PUPO - I ended up having a very light anesthetic (retroverted uterus) and went for acupuncture immediately after the transfer - so fingers crossed that helps! MissB I love your brilliant news about your first FET now being 23 months old - I've decided I will cling to that until my BT on 15/2.

I don't feel any different physically ( I knew I wouldn't logically, but was kinda hoping I would - totally illogically).

Thanks teirae and my turn - we have been trying for 18 months. It was supposed to be so easy (I now feel like such an idiot for thinking that).

Thank you again for all of your thoughts and wishes - it just means so much to have your support.

    Dan x
